Packing tips

Did someone say we're going on an Adventure?! Let's go!

I don't know if you're like me, but when I have a trip booked and am ready to go, I'm get super excited about packing my suitcase! But I know, packing a suitcase is not something everyone loves.

Packing a suitcase efficiently can help you make the most of the available space and ensure that your belongings arrive in good condition.

Remember to consider any specific requirements or restrictions from your airline, especially when it comes to weight and size limits for both checked and carry-on luggage. Safe travels!

Here are some tips to help you pack your suitcase effectively:

Make a list:

Create a list of all the items you need to bring so you don't forget anything

Choose the right suitcase:

Suitcase size depends on the length of your trip. I like to bring the smallest suitcase possible so I can carry-on, but sometimes you need to bring a little more for longer trips. It all depends. See below for suggestions.

Roll your clothes:

Rolling your clothes instead of folding them can save space and reduce wrinkles. It also allows you to see all your clothes at a glance.

Better yet....Use packing cubes:

These are the best invention! I don't pack a suitcase without my packing cubes. They help organize your clothes and maximize space. Group similar items together and place them in separate cubes.

Pack heavy items at the bottom:

Place heavier items, such as shoes and toiletries, at the bottom of the suitcase to distribute weight evenly.

Use all empty space:

Fill empty spaces, such as shoes, with small items like socks or accessories.

Pack essentials in your carry-on:

Pack essential items like medications, a change of clothes, and important documents in your carry-on bag in case your checked luggage is lost or delayed.

Limit shoes:

Shoes can take up a lot of space. Try to limit the number of shoes you bring and place them along the edges of the suitcase to maximize space.

Use travel-sized toiletries:

Opt for travel-sized toiletries or use reusable travel containers to save space and comply with airline regulations.

Wrap fragile items:

If you're bringing fragile items, wrap them in clothing to provide extra protection.

Pack an empty bag for dirty clothes:

Bring a separate bag for dirty clothes to keep them separate from your clean clothes.

Check the weather:

Check the weather forecast for your destination to pack appropriate clothing.

Keep essentials handy:

Pack items you might need during the journey (such as chargers, snacks, and a book) in an easily accessible pocket.

These are general packing tips. You'll find destination specific packing lists and tips on the destination pages.

HAPPY PACKING!
